Meax Machine Tool Calibration Systems

Meax was developed to suit the tighter tolerances required for the measurement & alignment of geometric & rotational axes on machine tools, etc.
Meax updates such metrology devices as optical instruments that measure angular displacements and cumbersome calibration artefacts.

ISO Standard Compliant
All measurements made by MT30 are performed according to ISO standards to ensure correct evaluation of machine performance. Procedures used are based upon the same principles as described in the different ISO standards for the different machine types.

Meax High Precision Two Axis Level Tranmitters

MEAX Level brings together new technologies that generate precision measurements down to 0.001 mm/m via a user-friendly interface.

Meax® Level instruments make use of 2 axis, high-precision sensors (1μm/m), that enable a one-man solution for the installation and setup of precision machines. The devices use an App based digital platform off which to make precision adjustments from. Results are saved in the onboard library for job tracking purposes.

Meax® Level sensors may be mounted on surfaces using the supplied mag base, in tool holders using a 16 mm shaft holder or mounted on customised fixtures which further increase the flexibility of Meax® Level Single and Dual Level systems.

Single Level

In a matter of minutes, MEAX Level enables the user to determine whether a machine’s level is within spec. With the aid of a wireless Smartphone or Tablet, the user can go about setting the machine with the digital readout in hand & adjust the equipment single-handedly, no fuss or bother:-

  • IP65 enclosure rating
  • Accurate within 0.001 mm/m
  • Simple, easy-to-read user interface
  • Internal batteries last up to 12 hours
  • Each sensor includes a battery health indicator
  • Meax Level is available in Single & Dual systems

Dual Level

Dual Level

Meax® Dual Level – measuring pitch/roll on stationary and moving axes.

In order to control machine movements to ensure that a machine tool is in level and the machine bed is not subject to roll/pitch, a two-sensor solution is required. One sensor reads the measurement and the other is the reference sensor.

In order to measure roll/pitch motion, one mounts the M-sensor on the moving part of the machine. The reference sensor is mounted on a fixed part, in order to compensate for any motion in the machine during measurement.
